The TTT Mentor Program (TTT Foundation, Inc.) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt volunteer run organization. The target population is multicultural families with school age children in grades 4 – 7 living in the greater Boston and Cambridge communities. The enrichment activities are in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The activities are Saturday-only. There is a required enrollment for the math and science project classes. However, most scheduled activities are free and are open to the public, only requiring registering via email.

- Saturday, May 7th at MIT Johnson Athletics Center/ Rockwell Cage is the Massachusetts State Science and Engineering Fair for High School Students. 350+ students from the state of Massachusetts compete for over $425,000 in scholarships and prizes awarded each year. This event is FREE and open to the public, 12:30 pm – 3:00 PM
- Saturday, June 7th , the TTT Mentors and students will participate in the MIT's Annual Cambridge Science Festival - “Cambridge Carnival” at the Cambridge Public Library, 449 Broadway Noon – 4 PM. Open to the public and FREE
- Saturday, May 14th the TTT Mentor Program and the MIT Edgerton Center, with the center’s Coordinator Amy Fitzgerald and her MIT assistants will sponsor the LEGO Car Rally – Be An Engineer for A Day. 10 AM – 1 PM. If interested send email for reservations. Seats are limited to 24 participants. First reserve, first seated. Children in grades 1 – 7 with a parent. FREE
- Saturday, May 14th R.A.C.E. Day Exhibit at the Museum of Science. A group visit to 12 – 5 PM. If interested please send an email of request. FREE
- Saturday, June 4th , is The statewide Middle School Science & Engineering Fair will be held at Worcester Technical High School, One Skyline Drive, Worcester MA. Public Exhibition of Student Projects 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm FREE
- Saturday, July 9th “Science After Dark” at the Museum of Science 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM for FREE and open for TEENS ONLY. (no parents/adults) for more details send an email to tttmentorprogram@gmail.com.
- Saturday, July 16th “Whale Watch” at the New England Aquarium, 10 am – 1 pm for more details send an email to tttmentorprogram@gmail.com
Congratulations ! ! Symone Stephens a 6th grade student in Boston and a fourth year student in the TTT Mentor Program will participate in the Massachusetts State Science & Engineering Fair (MSSEF) for Middle School Students Saturday, June 4th at Worcester Technical High School, One Skyline Drive, Worcester MA. Symone’s mentor for 2 years, Constantine Speridakos, MIT ’09 in Aeronautics and Astronautics, researcher at the Massachusetts Department of Transportation will work with her to prepare her project for the competition. We wish Symone Stephens and Constantine Speridakos the best and a wonderful experience at the state competition. Visit MSSEF website www.scifair.com for more details.
In 2009, two TTT Mentor Program students participated in the MSSEF state-wide competition: Darvin Sainte Luce of Boston and Victor Zeng of Boston. Victor Zeng was a Third Place Winner. Joseph Steinmeyer, a MIT graduate student studying Electrical Engineering, has been the students’ math and science mentor for the past two years.
